Hi chicken,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How’s my favorite food (for thought) tonight. This is going to be very, very short. If you’ll notice the time you will understand I’m sure. I didn’t get to bed last night till 11:30 so I still haven’t got caught up yet. I’m a little sleepy but no tired. You know, I kind of wish we didn’t have that weekend except that I enjoyed it so much, but it went so fast that I had to go back to work before I had even stopped it seemed. When I go home the weekends seem much longer. I had a swell time though and all of it was due to your company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a time last night!! I took Mom to Hebron<\/a> and found that my uncle was there. He lives in Portland and he offered to take Tom & I to Brunswick. He was in a hurry so I just said “hi” to dad + Mary and went out and came here. When I got here I put my hand in my pocket & guess what I found? The car keys. I’d left in such a hurry that I’d forgotten to give them to Dad. I called up the Sanitorium and got Dad and told him. He said Mom might have hers with her and then he just said “let it go at that” and hung up. That’s the last I heard so I guess she did because they must have gotten home. He didn’t call back anyway. I don’t know what I could have done if she didn’t have them. I guess I’d have borrowed somebody’s car and gone back. Anyway I guess it turned out O.K. (I hope)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the hop. Mom is quite sure she’s going to Houlton Friday unless things aren’t so well at home. That means no car for me to get home on. Also there is a rumor that the 4 to 5 Friday class of Military might start again this week. That means I’ll have to take the 5 to 6 Physics prelim. That doesn’t leave much time to get me home even if I had the car much less hitch-hiking (no buses) so I don’t know what to do unless Bill can dig up a car. I won’t know for sure about mine till the last of the week but don’t plan on getting to the dance early. I’ll find some way to get home though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, it’s 11:30 now to goodnight darling. See you Friday. I love you, beaucoup(?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
